hi been searching the net and on here but cant seem to find what im looking for
im just wondering if there is anybody that actually makes rear arb for cinq's or if anybody here can make them up

need a rear arb from a mg tf then make your own drop links and mounts.

as for strut brace and rear strut towers...... you dont have any towers, or struts... or anthing that you can make a brace off other than the actual car :p

will the mg tf arb be the exact required length?

any tips for making the drop links and mounts?

check J33vos 1.4 cinq thread, he fitted it, and it was perfect length and strength. he had to make mounts for the bottom of the shock, bolted the arb to the axel in the center, and droplinks to the shocker. its a case of measuring and buying the right droplinks

nope... the MG rear ARB is MUCH MUCH to long. you need to cut a section out the middle (about 3foot!) then weld.

the cento arms need a lever welded on (mines welded from the bottom shock mounts with the mount bolt going through make it even stronger) I use the mg drop links but extended a couple of inch.

as for people mentioning a rear brace... these are pointless on a cinq as we have that HUGE beam going across arms :)

anybody fancy making me a complete arb with drop links mounts etc :D

I would but Ive been asked to make a couple for a cinq and sei autotest car and really id need the whole rear beam/arms which is not easy to transport (n)

what about stiffer springs???

stiffer springs are ok but you end up to stiff where the wheels dont actually stay with the road on bumps and such... the anti roll bar allows for softer springs which make the suspension work better while increasing the spring rate when needed

We made our rear anti-roll bar a few years ago from as said an MGF frontbar shortened.

It is fixed in two positions on the rear beam on two triangulated flat sections we welded on the beam removing the exhaust hanger & integrating it into one of the mounts. Then two normal anti-roll bar U shaped brackets & bushes were used to fix it in place.

We made L shaped brackets that are bolted on bottom damper mount with a 2nd smaller tapped fixing point.

Then the bar is attached using rose joints which are freely available though ours were some spare integrale fronts I had in stock.

Having fitted WhiteLine rear anti-roll bars on my Suzuki Ignis Sport, Toyota Celica GT4 ST205 & my Clio Trophy the last two which like tge Cinq do not come with bars as standard, had experience of how a manufacturer known for it's anti-roll (sway in US or Australian talk) bars.

I do know of someone who used a Vauxhall Carlton bar but maybe not as available anymore.
