I have the ECU 18FD.5Z and key from the donor car (Punto 1.2 16v), but without the immobilizer box.On the other hand i got immobilizer box from another Punto and the key again. My question is - can i start the car with on of these combinations. I almost finished the wiring and it seems that only 1 wire is going between the immo box and the ECU(grey something).
The real question is - where is the CODE kept - in the box , in the ECU or the worst case - in both.
And another question - which wire from the Punto side to connect to which wire from the Cinq side to make the rev counter work ?
P.S. after i finish my swap and it fires, i will surely donate to this forum :D

Arrrgh, not that  The worst scenario, now i have to take it to the keymakers to de-immobilez it or buy a full set from somewhere , well thanks for fast answer (y) Anyone to know how to make work the rev counter ?

Yeah , 8v only.I've just been told by a friend of mine that in the Punto Gt you can swap ECU's because the code is only kept in immo box and key, thus if i have an immo box and key that are mate together i can fire it.But this is on the Punto GT with Bosch ECU (of course with immo). He tried that several times cause he has a small garage where he is repairing only these cars. Why should be different on the 16v ECU as the it's immo box is the same with GT and Cinq one ? I've not tried this personaly so anyone
who not agree with this , just make me know :D
