Ive tryed to find the anwser but no luck what is the gain in having a uno inlet on a cinq 1108 i have a gsr kit and 40mm tb as well

just wondering as fluffy has one on ebay

I have one on my Turbo and works really well, if you compare it side by side it just looks logically better

I guess it was because the 45 FIRE was a carb engine so needed the higher gas speed to maintain fuel atomisation

But it does need major porting so don't expect to bolt it on and see an instant gain

I also doubt that in a car with modest mods it would be a lot of work for little if any gain

cheers all if it looks better and functions better that all cool with me its all ready been ported to match so not much work needed. I was thinking of getting it powder coated red to

also forgot to say the cinq has 421 supersprint mani, decat pipe, full system, cam, chipped and kv85 leads

major porting where tho ? Isn't the holt for the TB to bolt on 40mm already ? like the 1108 inlet is ?

I have one fitted, I was meaning to blend the ports but never got round to it, so its still 'as is' and I could just about tell the improvement over standard.
I have a spare thats going to be matched.

Bit of thread revival in order ;)

Just got myself a Uno45 Inlet, needs the ports matching and boring out to match my tricker TB but have got couple of other questions..

The inlet mani i got doesn't have a temp sender in it like the one on the sei (spi for those who don't know my sei). Is it ok to run the wire over to the sender on the head (the one for the guage) and if so are the senders the same or would i need to swap them over (if thats possible? can't remember if they same size off top of my head). Or am i gonna have to drill and tap the manifold?

Also, this inlet mani doesn't have the vacuum hose bit that goes to the MAP sensor and brake servo. I had a quick look on the normal one and looks as though it can possibly be removed, perhaps difficult without damaging it. Is it threaded?

Also, not a biggy but if i were to bolt the TB onto the mani, it faces the wrong way, just need to get a spacer knocked up for it.

So these aren't big problems, just from what i read before buying i wasn't aware of these issues so got to thinking perhaps its not the one i was after?? opinions please.

Err, the uno mani i got have a temp sensor on it.

You can take the servo hole and map hole out of the cinq mani and screw onto the uno mani.

I don't get you wioth the TB facing the wrong way ? The uno mani i got has 4 threaded hole, so i can fit the tb anyway i want.

Just for you mate .... all the effort digging the thing out and taking the pics!

Pic of the manifold, the temp sensor is on the right (slighly blue)

Anyway, here is close up of where the temp sensor is :

Notice they are just screw on, so i think it should just unscrew out. Not sure i would do it without damaging it, will consult rallycinq :p

The hole where the TB sits on is only 38mm, so you really need it to be 40 if you have the 40mm Tb fitted.

Also the inlet port is only 19mm wide, you need to open that up to the 23mm. Just match it to the gasket it should fine. I have matched up the uno gasket and cinq gasket, they are exactly the same.

Thanks

Thats cool, cheers buddy.

I think looking at that, that it might have them actually, it has been finished with a smooth coating on the outside so that may just be hiding the holes and they have been plugged beforehand for some reason.. Not sure what the coating is but its gonna be a shame to ruin it. Neymind

The top mount for the TB is defo different. I will have to get a spacer made up that bolts to the manifold that has threaded holes in correct place. iirc it has the one at the back on the drivers side and the one opposite.

you cant screw the brake pipe + map pipe on as it hits the ??water piper?? near it when using the uno inlet. i had to use the uno one but drill a small hole in it and tap/die it, sawed the small map tube off the cinq one threaded it and screwed it into my new hole.

as for the top mount being different i remember that mine had four holes for screwes were the sei only had two and it needed porting out to get it in but it still bolted on and faced the same way as in my pic here.

so yeh fit it anyway you want... ?

The mani I picked up also has two holes only, and no temp sensor. also the ports are tiny, I'm not sure there is enough meat to port it out. Any one have any info on the different uno mani's ????

Don't have much info either. May be post a pic up ?

I'll got a solution without cutting anything. In the throttle body there is a blanked connection for a MAP connection, but on the cinq we use the one on the inlet mani ( number 10 in the picture)

So I used the 899 map pipe which is longer connected to the TB. IT runs perfectly.

Thanks

just in case this hasn't been covered;

Is it ok to run the wire over to the sender on the head (the one for the guage) and if so are the senders the same or would i need to swap them over

NO!

The problem is steming from the different versions, you need the manifold of the Uno 45 IE (IE = EFI version, hence having the MAP take off and the temperature sender)
