Yes...... I had a punto 55 one on mine with the twin downpipe.
The only problem you will have is with the second lambda sensor which is designed to go after a cat.
You could fit the cinq manifold if you make provisions to fit the second lambda sensor after the cat in the new system.

That is incorrect.

As I had one fitted fine on my mpi Sei. A supersprint.

Bare in mind all you need to fit a manifold is the same head bolt/stud pattern and enough clearance to clear the sump under the engine.

Spi and Mpi head patterns are the same so problem solved. You could probably fit a punto one as well but hasn't been done to my knowlege.

As is mentioned you will just need to get the manifold joined to rest of system at a custom exhaust centre/diy.

Correct is the fact that the second lambda sensor becomes an issue.

You can run with sensor 1 inserted to manifold and disconnect sensor 2 completely.

Then at or before mot time make sure you either replace original manifold or preferably get a sports cat fitted under the car with a post cat lmabda socket too so you have a correct ecu reading.

You will not make as much power with only 1 sensor connected due to the signals relayed back to the ecu re. fuelling which will be lost when removing sensor 2 (post cat).

hope that helps.

ah yer i know about the whole lambda situation. becuase my brother is buying me a supersprint manifold for christmas becuase his new job means hes absolutley loaded now. so i was going to get a sports CAT because i cant be hassled with swaping CATs around as i hate doing exhaust on axle stands lol. im was just wondering if i could use a standard SPI manifold with it as ive already got the sports CAT and will just take them up to longlie in cardiff. they qouted me 60 quid to make the new lambda lugg. extend it and fit manifold and cat. so should be good. lol.

My local scrap yard had a Punto 55 in with the twin downpipes too, but the pipes looked quite small, so not sure if the 75 twin set up had bigger pipes. I've not seen a 75 manifold in the flesh to compare.

For some reason, the 55 and 75 have the same downpipe so on the 55 it sits lower under the engine. I think the manifold is the same part No in the eper.
The setup acts as a 2-1 system which should work better at extraction than the single pipe type.

I tried it and since putting the mpi cat/manifold back on have noticed a reluctance in the entire rev range but it's a lot quieter.

I know there's a shedload of different threads around this subject but I'll tag onto this one as it seems relevant- does anyone know if the hanging points on my Mpi are the same as they are on an Spi?

I have been offered a full setup front to back with a Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold, then sportex for everything else for £600 including a 200 cell sportcat fitted into the front pipe with lambda plug hole as needed & free postage - sounds OK to me, anyone got an opinion?

Sounds a wee bit pricey to me check what it would cost new

A Supersprint Manifold £200ish new
Sports cat £250 ish new plus faffing to make it fit

That leaves £150 for the rest of the system which is top money if it is a Sportex if it were a Supersprint, CSC or another stainless system then would be very top end of reasonable

can't answer your question on whether it would fit though

Not sure if I made myself clear - it is brand splanking new :)

I diddn't think that it was too bad given that I'll be getting manifold, frontpipe with cat & lambda welded in, plus backbox?

Anyone know what the sportex stuff is like in build quality, & if the hanging points are the same Spi vs Mpi?

Mpi has different bolt on clamps at the front of car. ie. gearbox to downpipe.
Spi has a bolt on hanger near front of CAT to support it.
Sportex with SS manifold might be a bit loud?
I'd have a mid resonator put in.
You need No 14.

Ah well if it's new then that's different so the price is about right and the work is free basically.

Personally after having a Sportex on the cinq (yes i know on Sei's they are not meant to be as loud) i would pay a bit extra and get something else like a supersprint. When i fitted the CSC to my NA it just went straight on, When i put the Sportex on i spent ages tweaking it, but it is your choice

will an spi manifold fit an mpi seicento? just thought thats all. been done before?

hehe.... i know what you're thinking ;)

simple answer - no... easier (and better) route (which I shall be taking at some point) ss 4-2-1 & sports cat (y)

Edit: posted in haste - read entire thread now, but will leave my input for posterity :p
