cheers for the answers rossoschumi :)
ive pretty much made my mind up on doing one of these now, just gotta find the parts i like....

also another question (lol) with your ducted system, what does it sound like compared to an open air system? i do quite fancy a bit of noise lol

cheers

Well, to be honest, it sounded better when it was an 'open' system and I do kind of miss that :( (the stainless steel gauze on my 'Quikshift Racing' filter gave a lovely 'metallic' induction noise), but I wanted the performance increase so was willing to sacrifice the induction noise.
It's a 'one-or-the-other' thing unfortunately, using a sealed induction system, by definition means you have to place the filter in some kind of enclosure, which obviously also seals in the noise.
Since then though, I've removed the centre silencer from my Sportex exhaust to gain a bit of 'noise' back :D! (and a bit of a flow advantage as a bonus).

Good luck with building your system and just PM me if you want to know anything (y)

cheers for the help :)
been thinking about it, and as i sx front bumper, i might just add on a ducting pipe, and use a gsr induction kit, and have a cold air feed pipe rather than a ram pipe... will be easier to make aswell...
just need to find the biggest duct inlet...
