Hey there; I’m hopefully gonna get the car back on the road in a fortnight with a nice shiny new turbo conversion (y) . However, I’m in a pickle over the MF2.
Unlike standard MF2’s, the one I have is a modified version from Van Aaken I sourced second hand.
It has a couple of extra pots, an extra light bar, a vac hose (2nd map sensor?) and has 5 off running wires from a Molex type fixing as opposed to the manuals illustrated com port attachment (with many more wires).

What I basically want to know is what the wires do as the mechanic whose helping me wire and set up fuelling needs to identify them.
The fused wire I would assume would be connected to a 12V point. I’ve studied the loom and drawn up a diagram illustrating how it’s apparently been wired.
I can assume from rough memory there is a RPM pickup, one going to the injector and possibly an earth but can anybody highlight things better for me?

The only other MF2 that I have seen that is not like the standard one with com port & has a vacuum hose running into it etc is the one found on Chris' Cinq (blu73) so maybe he could have a quick look and see.

From memory on mine you had a switched live from ignition, earth, and rev counter (RPM) tap all behind the instrument binnacle. Then there was two wires to the 2nd injector. Though mine also had three wires going to MAP sensor as well, but as you have seen when you have the com port lead there are loads of wires to run all sorts of stuff.

Good luck with it, hope you have uprated the fuel pump and fitted in series a 2nd fuel pressure regulator to ensure some longevity of the car, and get it set up properly on a rolling road with someone who knows what they are doing with MF2.

Doh! Well had a closer look at the wiring and my original diagram was slightly out so here is what it should look like if it makes sense to anyone.

.

Tried Van Aaken with no luck, crazy that they kept no records of their scratch built TFC1 but maybe they wanted to drop the whole MF2 replication thing.

Any other ideas:confused:
