i want to tint the windows on my cinq but cant because of the handle on rear side windows is in the way. Does any1 know if there is a way of taking the handle off?

I'm trying to do the same does anyone know how to get the handles off?

yea its easy wen you know what your doin

if you take the hole window out
and on the clips you can see a small metal bar goin throo
it and i cut the tip of it off and hamerd it throo and it should
pop off and wen you put it back hamer it back in you should
really put some sort of tip back on were you cut it off befor
i couldun be bother so jst left it and its been fine eva since

ago wen i did it so i carnt take a step by step but you should get the
idea wen you get going...

and its possible to do i did it wen i was 16 lol

In my sporting with openable rear windows you couldnt see the pin it was inside the clip thing, Wen i got mine done professionally, they told me before they did anything that they would need to drill through the plastic clip untill they can remove the metal pin.

Cheers guys I was hoping there was a way of doing it without damaging the pin but I guess Fiat didn't want us tinting our windows easily

do you have to do the windows in 3 pieces - or just the rear 1?

neither. all my windows are one piece inc rear.

Yeah you should have no prob doing even the rear windscreen with one piece as its not very curved. Just finished doing my 2 rear sidewindows it turned out quite well for my first attempt at tinting

tip: if ur using the trillogy tint (i think its called defender? - not sure), and u apply it, and keep it on the car.. if u decide to later take it off... u'll need white spirit to remove the glue and a stainless steel stanley blade or similar. its many hours of labour intensive work.

i learnt that stainless blades don't scratch your glass... not sure how true it is, but i didn't scratch mine!

Anyone tinted their rear window yet on their cinq? If so whats you're method?

i dont wana try and get the rear window out cuz i
dont think i'll get it back in lol....so i need to
find some one who can pop it out and back in

u can buy sun-gard tint from their website in america. it's very good stuff.
