Hey peeps,

Can some one please provide me with a full description on how to replace the thermostat on a 2001 plate Fiat Seicento 1.1sx.

I'm an absolute novice so please be gentle!

Get yourself a Haynes manual for a Cinquecento if you consider keeping the car for any length of time, if not then do a quick search.

remove bottom rad hose.

right hand side of the engine, below the coil packs, remove hose, remove two bolts, remove thermostat, clean face (the head, not yours), apply bead of sillicone to new stat, fit, bolt on, reconnect hose, reconnect bottom hose, fill system, bled system using bled valve in drivers side inner wing for main rad, and valve sticking out the firewall near the TB for the heater matrix.

tada.

OK, so it was done on a Panda but it's a FIRE engine and basically the same.

its an easy job,i did it without a manual(dads nearly as good).was fiddly getting the gasket in tho.i kept dropping it as me n me dad both have large hands
