Hey, need some help, had my mk2b for nearly three years in which time it has suffered in terms of the windscreen (not been replaced yet)

In which, the wiper blades became faulty (not apparent) then without warning the metal scratched my window, not distracting as much as irratating, then i got a chip in the bottom corner of it, not noticeable, however has been there some time. i know it can develop into a crack and isnt safe.

then some idiot about a month ago through a stone at my car from the pavement and scuffed my windscreen

on the way home from brooklands picked up about 3 small stone chips

as by now my windscreen is not in brilliant condition and is time to change, however i would like to know how i can get a tinted one (not black tint, but the tints you see some cars have, like vauxhall zafiras) is there a specialist for this type of windscreen or is it only certain makes of cars offer this. i know the tints are legal as i checked with VOSA last week and they cleared up the matter.

My MOT is due in november and know that i need a new windscreen. please help, i am sorry for the long thread

Crazy

yeh i know my insurance would do it, but whether or not it would be tinted is then not up to me as it would be like for like, cheers for the hill test ghost and it isnt every saturday somebody asks 'can i sit on your wood?' :D

lmao :p :slayer: although i get the feeling my nick should be crazyghost as you didnt seem that crazy to me  :p well if you speak with autoglass its them that would sort it all, cant hurt to give them a call and ask? :D

it should be with the power your cinq has, however are you doubting my crazyness

i can be tame, i have many stories to tell if you care to listen, perhaps at another meet somewhere further up north,

i did ask if i could sit on your wood :D but whats worse is that you didnt think to say no straight away

What the frig is going on with this thread? Me is intriguied . . .

And Crazy, to answer you're question, phoning Autoglass ahead of doing the work (or RAC windscreens or whomever) might yield results; when my (other) brother had his Omega's windscreen done, there were 9 tint colours available, and they asked him to pick as they didn't seem to be bothered :D

Its a thread that me and Ghost (Mr. Ghost sorry) talked about at Brooklands and some strange comments came out randomly (y) his wood i hear is quite reputable.

cheers for the advice

think a nice blue tint is on the cards if i can get it, but my attention is focussed mainly on getting a sub in my car and keeping the windows in one piece :D
