Yeah I would really love white streaks all over my car, why would I want to do it anyway as I have a perfectly good hose?

Polish in a bucket of water will do nothing but leave weird marks all over your car. A polish is designed to be worked into the paint removing microns from the clearcoat layer to give a smoother finish.

Putting it into a bucket of water will do absolutely nowt!

Get a cheap shampoo and a good but cheap wax (Collinite 476, for example). Wash the car, dry with a towel, wax afterwards. Sorted. The car will be shiny and the wax will last months.

Why will he thank you?

cuz the wash and wax works and the cap of polish??? hed be wasting his time :slayer:
Been a car detailer for years, then when into a Fiat bodyshop, then onto classic cars then TVR's and now work for myself in restoration so i know just a little bit about ..cleaning polishing, rust killing and spraying.
ok enough about blowing my own trumpet.

Regards

Richie

p.s he might thank me cuz good advice is free

If you were a proper detailer you wouldnt be recommending wash and wax shampoos or taking about leathering a car to dry it. Wash and wax shampoos are okay to top up wax layers but they cant replace using a proper wax.
