When drying is it best to have a detailing spray to spray whilst drying or is it fine without?

Should be fine without. Detailing spray is handy if you have left it a bit too long or the sun is strong and there are water marks appearing before you have got round the whole car.

best to have something to use as a lubricant in my opinion

Think I need to get myself a proper drying towel.. any reccomendations? I've heard of dodo time to dry, how is that? cheers

I was guna buy the speed wipe but i dont need anything else at the moment so it seems a little pricey.

definately the drying towel, i have 3 of them- they are brilliant, and great value for money!

I use last touch as a drying aid, diluted 1:2

I got one of them last xmas, and ive still got about a quarter left so it is also very good value for money! Especially considering how much i clean my car... I also use it as a clay lube

Its pricey in the pre made bottle, but if you buy it in the bulk container (think its about 4-5 litres) it works out half decent value.

The MF drying towels seem to stay softer for longer.

Last touch is fantastic as a drying aid. quick spritz per panel as you have finished rinsing and it will cut down the amount of rubbing you have to do, which reduces the amount of damage you are inflicting. (It is inevitable that you will induce some swirling, but it does help to minimise the risk.)
