looking good andy did mine last friday still have a few RDS (mostly on the bonnet ofc) but all my swirls have gone will get them sorted next time i go home...hopefully

It's a long process, try machining 12 hours a day 2 days solid on customers cars on a regular basis. Nightmare :(

At least fiat paint is easy to correct and yours didn't look in too bad nick.

Finish looks decent. You could probably get more clarity from #80 though IME, you'll just need to experiment a bit.

Time for some wet sanding then my old fruit.

You getting on OK though?

Not overly bothered about the few RDS's To be honest it look ALOT better than what it did did the Boot lid and left hand rear quarter to the drivers door this morning then it started to rain packed my gear away rinsed out pads and slung them in the washer for a rinse and spin and the bloody sun came out :bang:

that after shot is after the 83 IIRC i am working the polish in well (utill it turns almost clear, Just waiting to see what the Menzerna Final Finish Polish - P0 85 RD is like when it turns up

Just a quick Question how do you chaps clean pads out mid detail on a DA? i have tried a nylon brush and it wont remove the built up polish residue (dont think i am using too much polish 3 smartie size drops per 1 1/2 is foot square) ??

which reminds me i have been numpty...forgot to wash one of them i used :(

what i have been doing so far (unless someone tells me im wrong)

is rinsing them in a bucket with the hoze with a fan jet to remove the bulk then putting them in the washing machine with a bit of detergent (liquid) and putting them on a 30^C quick wash and spin,,,

85RD will finish it off nicely, no better finishing polish available IMO

I use a megs detailing brush, the smaller more brittle end.

2 pea size drops is about what you should be using.

Thanks chaps Tris i did get some practice first why go and buy a couple of scrap panels when there is mums car to practice on  ...

haha, think i will be investing in a kestrel later this year... are they easy enough to use?

think i will still get a few scrap panels to play with first... or do my sisters lol

Good work on the KA though (y)

Well after i got cracked on today its nearly all done :D

Just need to hand polish and wax the door jambs and all the panel edges found a few marks that were a bit too deep to remove fully and some new ones that i didn't know were there (the joys of parking it in a supermarket carpark no doubt :( )

but it looks A LOT better than what it did....

the sun was out all the time i was polishing then decided to go into hiding when i got the camera out :(

this was the car after polishing and a coat of Lime prime lite
