a heat gun is a good one yes.

other options include Black Wow, Meguiars #38 or autoglyms bumper gel. make sure to work the product in, and wipe off any residue.

You can also use the heat gun and apply any of the above products too, as some have done in the past, as it is meant to lengthen the effect of the gels.

he's moaning about the price of a tin of collinite so i think the tight scotchman will have a heart attack when he see's the price of a 4OZ bottle of black wow :D

but by all accounts it is the muts nuts when it comes to trim black (i'm actually going to order some this week)

Andy,

It is a good one, fair play. Used it on the plastic bumper inserts on the 206, just have to make sure its buffed off after being worked in fully, or it can streak and run, which happened to me 1st time i used it.

As for the price, yeah, it isnt cheap, but you really do use so little.

i actually found that
Wd40 / cheap Supermarket versions
Do a good job on darkened the bumpers, but since its oil, it eventually wash's off

When doing my mums picasso - i got Men'z FF2 on her handle, i rubbed it in, and it did come out darker and more sparkly! :)

Also found that Car Lack LLS - Also seemed to darken the black stuff
But the LLS i dont think could cling on well....

Autoglym Bumper Care is fantastic on external plastics and tyre walls.
It is a Gel. Water beeds right off the plastic.

I use a small sponge to apply. I also use it on faded red seatbelt release buttons.

Oh yeah its safe on paint so if you accidently get it on paint it just wipes off with a damp cloth.

what do you use it on?
I used it on;
Mirrors, Bumper strips, door pillar, scuttle panel, lower front gril, all the plastic in the engine bay, tyre walls, mud guards.

The results are perfectly even and ive had no streaking.

You do have to shake the bottle a lot before you get started because it seperates when still.
