Hi

I recently purchased a Fiat Bravo. The car is a 2009 1.4 (90bhp) Active Model. Everything on the car is sweet and works well except I have this annoying knocking noise when I pick the car up and also a constant boom

Having shown to my mechanic, he told me that the LH drive shaft was wet with oil (most probably grease) on the outside and reckons that is the reason for this unpleasant knock I get when I apply a lot of torque in first gear (quick pick-ups)

Having managed to download a Fiat ePER I found out the part number for the drive shaft is 46308111. I am unable to find one reasonably priced, the only one on ebay is around £150 delivered from Italy

I am willing to try a used part (as its a bit trial and error fault detection).

My question is can someone help me locate a new one for cheaper or a used one for around £30 or so?

Thanks for your help in advance. If someone is breaking a 1.4 90bhp (non T-Jet) Fiat Bravo, I would be interested in sourcing the drive shaft

If you check ePER the simple part that is worn should be much cheaper ;)

Look in Abarth section for a link to driveshaft repairers :)

okay, have managed to source one from the breakers on ebay - will hope to get it to the garage next week, but hopefully this fixes the problem
