Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, I am a new proud owner of a Fiat Bravo 1.4 with LPG installation from factory!

I ma looking to replace the original stereo unit, but I am a bit lost searching for a proper sat nav stereo unit, those with android auto are mainly Chinese, and some say they are not that good.

Did anyone here fitted one? Will I loose the steering wheel controls? Some say they are compatible... The blue&me I understand it is not possible to use once we replace the original stereo unit.

Waiting for your opinions!

Thank you all!

Hi I have fitted a double din stereo with sat nav in my fiat bravo, the make is xtrons dvd player, satnav, bluetooth, the operating system is windows, facility for reverse camera and much more. East to fit. I have no problems with it upto now, been fitted 3 months.I hope this helps

I was also going to suggest the Xtrons units. They get good reviews and I know a few people on here have fitted them to various vehicles. They usually replace all the existing B&M functions, and do support steering wheel controls with the appropriate adaptors.

Thank you for the suggestions.
Can you tell me where can i put the gps receiver and if there is need for an external microphone to use the B&M with this stereo unit?

Thanks

Hi what I did with the gps aerial, when I removed the old head unit, there is a metal bar behind it and under the dash, I put the aerial on the metal bar, it works fine for me. I hope that helps

Ive just replaced the head unit in my 1.9 Multijet, i put the GPS antenna on the dash by the passenger, just ran the cable through the glove box, under the dash, up through a frame and then there is maybe 7/8cm of cable exposed.

For my external mic, i again went through glove box, up through a frame, followed the roof trim, littery just pushed the cable into the lip and followed that to the opposite A frame. Hope that helps :)

Hi TAAK.
I'm Portuguese too and I have an android unit in my Bravo T-jet.
I bought it from a forum member and I'm very pleased with it.
As far as the B&M you'd better forget it because the android unit has all the conections you need and more.
Regarding the GPS aerial I glued mine on the dashboard in front of the sensor and just pull the wire under the plastic until the door and into the glove compartment and from there into the unit. I did the samewith the front camera but in this case I glued it in the windshield next to the mirror. The reverse camera was a bit tricky because I had to find a way to pass the wiring into the back but it's working. I placed the camera over the plate.
The unit is an Erisin octacore and it works very well. The sound is asgood as the factory one and I have bluetooth conection either for the phone or the music as Spotify.
As far as the steering controls don't worry, you'll keep them as well, even the doors and boot information will appear on the radio screen.
If you're thinking of making an upgrade go for it.

PS: don't buy wince units, I had one previously and it was a crap and had no support, with android you get anything you need.
