Hi,
I've just taken my calipers off of my 07 bravo 1.4 (Not the turbo) and was surprised by the lack of locking tab washers or similar on the caliper bolts. After reading the interweb about replacing stretch bolts etc I became concerned about whether I should have replaced the bolts.
Would anyone know if I need to replace these or should they have threadlock or anything on them? Would anyone also know what I should torque these to? They're as tight as I dare at the mo ;) I'd hoped to find a workshop manual somewhere but information on the bravo seems to be a bit sparce. They're bosch calipers btw.
Thanks

Or I could just look a bit harder for the manual someone has kindly uploaded.

(URL was here but I'm not allowed them yet)

Sorry for the noise :)

They should be replaced each time you change the pads ( new screws come with the pads).

The new ones do come with locktite on them(the blue kind).
I say just reuse the old ones if they apear in good condition, and use a bit of threadlock.

The bolts aren't under much stress, the force goes to the caliper bracket.

Thanks Aurick. I popped down the local fiat dealer who didn't stock the bolts separately so ended up doing pretty much that. It hadn't dawned on me initially that the carrier took the brunt of the 'stopping forces' so I think I was stressing about it more than I needed to :)

Hi!
Tightening torques for front calipers specified in attached screens shot.

This is from Bravo eLearn manual which contains most of the servicing procedures described. Google "bravo 198 elearn iso download" to download ISO which can be burned to disc.
