Hey!

I have a Bravo tjet 150 2007. When I drive it I get a squeal that seems to come from the center of the car. I was told at a service that they think they can hear noise coming from the differential, now I can hear it when driving. It happens mostly in 5th and 6th gears and does go a lot quieter if I coast. Does it sound like the differential?

How easy is it to get this investigated and fixed :).

It's sounding like you are experiencing the curse of the M32 gearbox. Lengend has it that fiat sub-contrated the manufacturing of these gearboxes to McVitties so subsequently they don't last nearly as half as long as they should. It's the bearings that are the problem and it's most common in 5th and 6th. Squeeling and whining are the usual noises and in extreme cases the gear stick will move when accelerating.

There are kits a valuable to fix them but as is expected it's not a cheap fix but its well known enough to sort out

I know its abit of a random question but does the squealing stop when you apply breaks ?

It doesn't seem to be effected by breaks, but does go high pitched when the gas pedal is pressed.
