Sharing a recent experience with my Fiat. Recently noticed that the gears were getting stiff. Thought this may be a lubricant problem but as I had purchased an extended warranty from Fiat I promptly had it booked in for a warranty repair.

To my horror , I was told that the gearbox cables were seized and needed to be replaced at a cost of £492. Apparently, Fiat do not cover cables and wiring within their warranty......... No surprises there there then as Fiat have never honoured their warranty pledge, hence leaving me with a 2nd £500 odd bill in less than 18 months. Not worth the paper it is written on. Not even interested in a 'goodwill' gesture when I asked if they wold at least supply the parts which came in at £130 plus VAT for the 2 cables needed.


Still love the car though but the company, not so much....... But live and learn, all salesman warranty pledges in writing next time complete with a company stamp.
