this is the car i bought on saturday, im being well cheeky as well, there refurbishing all 4 alloys, fixing a slight ding on the rear bumper, and wing mirror, and ive asked them if i pay for parts, will they do the cam belt for me, weather or not that includes the water pump i don't care because if it goes and takes the belt the warranty will cover it.

just cant wait to get it now, and make it feel like my car, im assuming that i can black out windows and do the sound system without voiding mechanical warranty?

cheers

Hey! Welcome to the wonderful world of Bravo ownership! :p

You can definetely black the windows out without any warranty void, as for the sound system I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think so.

Get some pics up tomorrow!

yes i definetly will, im on nights so wont be collecting it until 5 ish, wont want to go bed in the morning will be to excited lol i definetly want the windows blacked out on the rear as i love the privacy it gives inside, and i want a double din sat nav/dvd tv thing in it so i may pay to have that professionally fitted along with speakers/sub and amp in several months when ive saved some penny's up.

will however miss thsi beast which goes on thursday.

love that car, but to expensive to own and run.

Nice MG =] But you won't be dissapointed with your Bravo! Welcome =D

i hope not, as that MG has never let me down, neither have any of my rovers, so would be typical if i finally buy a newish car for many penny's and it goes wrong a lot.

I second that, the bravo should be fine apart from some minor things that may crop up. look after it well though and you should be fine.

Enjoy the car mate!

only issue you will more than likely have is the pipe for the rear washer p****ing water over ur battery and fuse box, other than that, plus well the usual Fiatisms (random warnings to keep you on your toes) it will be mint!....done 10k in my 1.4 in the 9 months ive had the car and even in the minus 15 crap we had it started 1st time after sitting there for a week under snow

I also never had any trouble in the winter snow apart from frozen washer fluid, even when used neat (winter fluid from halfords).

That MG did look very nice though, I saw a 2006 ZT V8 with 20k for only £8k when I bought my KIA, now that is depreciaiton to worry about! Was slighty tempted, but do far too many miles for a petrol, let alone a V8 one!

Edit: just looked at the ad for the car you bought, that is a very low price! My old 120 Mjet Active with 60k miles is up for £6k.

Yeah she's a beauty, the 190 MG like mine is more reliable than the bravo, no engine problems or anything as it was made by BMW and most of the parts on it are BMW , just a shame its let down by the rest of the range!

Wasn't it a Rover KV6 engine in the 190?

Just had a look on the net and found this: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rover_KV6_engine

I'm sure the was the 2.5 KV6. I know the diesels were BMW engines though.

One piece of advice is, never take the warnings too seriously. Usually it's the car just having a laugh at your expense, so don't worry too much. Only if the warning is followed by a large bang should you worry

Yeah car noises never worry me, if its still going forward then its fine :)

No offense, but you're having a halucination if you think your MG is more reliable than your new bravo.

It's not much about how it was built, but it's an old car with old building techniques. just feel the way the doors open, the strengh of the doorhandle and how precise the windows go up and down and you'll know what I'm talking about. even BMW's of that generations are built like crap according to today's standard (my brother has an M3 CLS from that period).

and yes, I'm an ex rover owner. eventhough the ZT is more reliable enginewise than the crap rovers with the 1.4 and 1.6 kseries, it's still an old rover with ****ty electronics and breaking plastics.
