Yo peoples.... Short K&N diy :


Unwrap and let your eyes feast :D


Get a grip...


... and loosen bolts..


...Off with the wheels...


...off with the inner wheel arch... (I think it was 9 screws)...


...there's the filter box... loosen three bolts on the box/cylinder ...from the bottom ... to take off the bottom "lid"...


...pull out and compare old filter with new...


...do some more comparrison ...


In with the "dandy" filter and reverse disassembly process .... and step on it! :p

Short K&N replacement filter Experience report:

Sound:

Since its a replacement filter in the original box it doesnt change the in car sound experience too much... when rev'ed high the sound is a slight bit more aggresive... outside a bit more noticable.

With the sport button on... the sound is more aggresive and noticable still.

Id say between 5-20% + on sound

Performance:

Rev's a bit easier and overall feels a bit nippier.

Id say between 5-10% + on performance/feel (not bhp ! :p)
