Hi New bravo owners ...
I too am a new bravo owner and I just thought I should let you know what problesm I have had to fix in the last 3 monts, just so you know what can happen
1. Rear wiper - the motor sucks ass, check electrical connections, then when that doesnt work. get a new one. Very easy to change
2. Lights - lights, indicators, high beams going ? Thought so. get a new colum light switch form a scrap yard. easy to change.
3. Rear wiper water spray - its jjust a loose hose at the wiper or resivor, re connect them add a little glue... Easy !
4. Starter motor - Well known for failing ( apperently) take it off clean it up, change the bushes and away you go. If you cant do that an auto electrician will overhaul it for a fair prive
5. Clutch plate - Usually good, however if you dont treat your car nice ( like the previous owner of my car) or your unlucky enough to hit a massive pot hole ( like me )it can crack once tjhat happens you have about 2 weeks before it fails totally
6. Shocks - not really a problem, just dont let them get two worn down. Bad shocks help crack your clutch plate !!
7. creaking / door door ? easy tighten the two allen screws at the bottom of the door
8. poor milage - if you just bought your car and you got a 1.4 like me had luck your mileage will always suck !! but make it better by getting good sparks, a new T belt at its next service and making sure intake and air filters are workign correctly ...clean oil helps too !
9. tracking - if your shocks and tracking arent in good nick your tyrers will ware down quicky ;( ( r=the last owner of my car was a muppet)
Finally....Phew
10. strange noise from back of car - maybe it sounds like the exaust ? its just the rear seats !! find the rattle and banf it out or tape it up, doeant do any damage !
--------
I got my bravo really cheap and was prepared to fix it. if you were not.. hard luck. but rest assured your car looks cool and over all its a good car. Stick with it !!
