Have Removed Head To Replace Bent Valves But Dont Have Fiat Book And Need To Know How To Time And Head Tork Settings?:d

get piston1 to TDC, then set valves 1 & 2 in the middle of their rock (one rises as the other falls). at that point the head timing is set at the point when piston 1 should be at TDC. then you can simply stick the head on and have no fear that piston to valve contact will occur. then with the head bolts in loosely give the engine a slow and careful turn using a socket on the crankshaft pulley (sparkplugs still removed), check that there is no noise of piston to valve contact (tapping).

cant remeber the torque settings or order for head bolts, its in my haynes manual at home, but i'm sure someone will have them handy.
