Hi guys
Has anyone yet tryed to make cruise control work on fiat bravo 1.9 jtd edc15 2001 ?
I tryed on mine but i have some issues ...
Since my bravo has no preparation for this job i had to do it all the way from the ecu.Got out wires from ecu on pins 53,55,56,57,i also made 1 switch and 3 tasters, when i try all that with fes it works fine,I see that the command reads and everything is fine but my cruise control won't work ...
I looked for wiring diagram for fiat stilo with cc ,and i saw stilo has brake switch with 4 pins and my bravo has only 2 pins.On fes readings my brake contact for cc is always open and it should be closed. That's why i had p0703 brake switch error , so i bought relay with 5 pins and got it wired to my ecu pin 54 so now when i press my brake, brake contact 2 goes to open and when i relase it ,brake contact 2 goes to closed like it should.Clutch pedal switch works also fine,it shows pressed and relased. But my cc isn't working ...
I tryed to drive 40-60 km/h in 3rd,4th and 5th gear and it wont enable,my switch is on and i hold + button for 3 second (i even holded it more than 3 secs) and it won't enable it :bang: :bang: :bang:
Do any of you have some advise or any idea how ti fix it ?

Hi,
Does your CC indicator light is on, on your Dashboard ??
Regards

No,i don't have cc indicator light on fiat bravo
On fes it stays off all the time

I think your problem is here ...You should have CC light on when 12v is feed on ECU pin (but i don't know which number it is for 1.9 JTD...)
I look for a wiring diagram for your model...
Where are you from ??

Regards
PS: you may have to do a "CAN Setup / PROXI Alignment Procedure" like on Stilo models ...no needed on "new" Bravo, but yours is from 2001.

I'm not sure i understood you corectly.
Fiat bravo doesn't have cc light on board, never came out from factory with cc and light for it.I can't do can setup/proxy alignment with fes,i know how to enable cc light on fiat stilo but my bravo doesn't have options for that...

Hi,:)

you are in the modern Bravo section..
look at my thread in the Marea section, ;)

Charlie - 2001 JTD

I also tried on a Marea and got to the same stage as you. Lokks like an ECU firmware revision level. It looked like only the later Mareas would take Cruise, one visible difference is the ECU failure light. Early non CC compatable ones had an engine icon, the later ones had an injector. This is of course a different instrument cluster so I gave up as I did not want to change both the ECU and instruments.

Here is video of testing it in fes

as you can see all commands are working just fine, only thing that is wrong here is brake contact 2 which is closed all the time ,i fixed it with 5 pin relay and now when i press brake pedal it changes to open

I bought brake switch with 4 pins for fiat stilo ,connected it so i can get rid of relay, but even with it my cruise control won't work .
Sometimes after a short ride i get again p0703 error for brake switch and it says stored , it comes again after a short ride even if i delete it .
I checked brake switch and it works fine ,but i don't know why am i getting this error :( :( :( ...
Any solutions ?
