FOund the leak on my bravo 1.6. The CV joint closest to a wheel seems to be leaking.

We Reckon it an oil seal in there.

Does anybody know how to renew or change a seal here as the bloody haynes manual doesnt give any advice for the 1.6

Cheers lads

The outer CV joint (in the wheel) doesn't have oil in it, it's grease. The CV joint boot keeps it all in place. Check to see if the CV boot is perished or torn

The only "oil" in the wheel area is brake fluid which is a different ball game and would need immediate attention

The wheel bearings have grease in them, held in by O seals either side. You need to inspect and find out just what is leaking.
Is your brake fluid level dropping for instance?
Does the oil smell of brake fluid?

Cheers.

I meant the cv joint at the gearbox. the side closest to the wheel. Its defo gear oil, had to put half a litre in the other day.

help desperately needed
