Hi think i may have major probs with my 97 bravo 1.6, its done 112,000, drives like a dream. Its had a lot done recently including the change of an injector about 9months ago and the standard, exhaust, filters, leads etc. back then the car juttered and lost alot of power(injector fault)

The same is happening now but with a few differences. iv had a few unexplained stalls about a month back, the power loss and jutting is now intermittent especially when in low rev. The injector light has not come on yet? only when i start the car for a few seconds. And just recently it felt as tho my battery went as the car wouldnt start until i got out of the car locked it and got back in again.

My thoughts are it is another injector, but with the different symtoms im thinking it may be the camshaft? or the electrical system.

What shall i do? im into doing it myself but if its a massive job il have to go to a garage.

Please help, im in uni and the car is needed bigtime for next year and my job now where im doing 40miles a day.

yup agree with sammi,could be a small thing but you need to find out.
no harm in going over the engine to check for poor/loose connections though.do you know which injector was replaced(assuming its multipoint)as if its faulty you will want to know if its the one that was replaced
 
cheers for that, where can i get a diag done then? and how much do you think they are?

it is a multipoint, the way i found which injector it was last time was to find which cylinder wasnt firing. It hasnt gone far enough this time to know which one has gone.

It was the leads dont know what was wrong with them yet, had the diag and them replaced for 60knicker.They were bloody new last year. Not bad beats new inkectors.
 
Ok the luck is not on my side. Car runs well nice, popping noise from exhaust has gone etc. But the car cuts out every now and again between 2nd and 3rd gear at about 3500 revs. it just dies, half the time i dont know its happend. my dad reckons its an earth wire, any other suggestions, much appreciated, ant
