my fiat bravo just faild mot due to worn not torn ball joint dust covers is this possible iv been told its just a advisery
at first the guy said i would need new wish bones on both front sides upwords of £200 now its replace the dust covers for ^£60 but there not split just a bit worn dose this realy need doing and can he fail me for this reason???

Torn ball joint covers a fairly common on the older Bravos. This is NOT a massive or expensive job. Your best to source new front wishbones. They're around £30 to £40 each. Any decent garage isn't going to charge the earth to replace. Go to ebay for the wishbones, and a decent independent garage for fittment.
