I have no personal experience with that filter or engine but the best overall solution for our cars is the K&N panel filter, I put one on my 1.2 16V.

The best compromise between performance, cost, reusability. No noticeable increase in noise etc. however, if that's whet you want.

I have a 1.4 sx Bravo and i did have a sport filter witch i have replaced with an original item because the car didn't go any faster but the noise was very embarrassing.

So called Sportfilters are a waste of money, if you ask me.
They only work if they suck cold air from the outside of the enginebay.
Just fitting an open filter inside the enginebay will result in less HP, because hot air will expand, resulting in a lean air to fuel mixture, and last but not least it will result in a LOT of noise....!!
Change your aircleaner regularly with a quality paper filter is the best you can do for your engine, and performance !!!
