randomly lastnight my car wouldnt start. when i turned the key there was a 3 second delay before the fuel pump primed and the car wouldnt start,did it again and the same happened...Then waited a min,turned the key a 3rd time the fuel pump primed straight away as normal and the car fired up...what would this be down to?

last time i had no fuel pump noise was on my old rst it ended up being the relay.

Sounds like the pump is on its way out...

Maybe replace it with a walbro 255?

Thought about upgrading it ages ago but would it make much different? I mean its only chipped pushin out 160 with other normal mods. Suppose i could get a fse rather than an upgraded fuel pump and some turbo injectors too :/ but would mean alot of work on the engine in order for it to make some extra power for it all to work?
