Good afternoon,

I have a 2001 1.2 Bravo with a very strange problem, when you start the engine with foot off the clutch it runs smooth and well, as soon as you press the clutch there is a harsh metal grinding noise and within 10 seconds the engine dies, any ideas what the problem is?

Your release bearing has disentegrated and the forks are hitting the clutch, catching the pressure plate and making it stall. A new release bearing and clutch, possibly a new fork too will solve that
