You can't be certain that the motor is dead without properly testing it. it's actually a lot more likely to be a wiring or switch fault. Start by checking the fuse, then the big wiring connector that runs into the inside front edge of the door. Make sure all the connections are clean and free of corrosion.
If that fails then have the switch tested. Maybe buy a cheap replacement from a scrappy for a few quid to see if that works.
