hi i had the radio taken out and decoded today and noticed the button on my key no longer locks the door???

also when it was working there was no beeb our sound for the alarm it just locked?

is there a way to arm the alarm maybe its switched of i know on my other car you use a key in the boot to turn the on and off.

also is there a way to reprogramme the remote key fob to lock and unlock the car

Here’s a typical receiver dump
It must be read in 16 bit to work.

Address 72h, 73h = 0. 7. 5. 7. unlock code

address 04h is the first entered remote code = 0. 7. 5. 7.
address 08h is the second remote code = 4. 7. 4. 2.

etc.

The key codes start at 04h, and each extra code starts 4 bytes later. This example has 4 keys installed.
To find the unlock code, run program rem.exe, then enter 4 bytes and press calculate.
The bytes following the key code + 20h and +40h are the rolling codes which alter with each door operation.
Byte 70h = next key position code in this case 8 words used
Byte 71h = no of door openings left before automatic locking
Byte 72h, 73h , = lock / unlock code of the key that locked the unit.
Its AA AA if it self locked
Byte 74h = 00 if unit locked
FF if unit unlocked

That’s about all I know about the unit
I have written rem.exe to decode the bytes if anyone wants it.

Tony.

that means nothing to me, i took it to a shop to get it decoded.

so has them removing the unit caused this problem then?

how do i reprogramme the key remote then ????

or what will i need to tell the shop to do???

found these instruction to reprogramme the fob is this correct?

You will a 4 digit code from an existing old blue key, then you will need to follow the procedure below.

all you have to do is:

-Press the button that is between your courtesy light and the ultrasonic sensors on the roof of your car (near sunroof switch)
-Release the button after a second or two
-After a couple of seconds the LED will flash once
-Enter the first digit of your 4 digit code by pressing the button the relevant number of times ( If you have a 0 then press nothing and wait for the next single LED flash)
-After a couple of seconds the LED will flash once
-Repeat this for the next 3 digits of the code.

If the code was correct the LED will flash for approximately 10 seconds.
(If the code was incorrect the LED will remain on for 10seconds, so start from the beginning when the LED goes out)

-With the LED flashing press and hold the button on the car and then press and hold the button on the key. Keep them both pressed until the LED stops flashing and remains on.
-Release the button on the remote, then the one on the car.

now what heppens next depends on the age of the car. some cars have a red LED others have a green LED.

for a red LED, if the programming was successful the LED will flash 6 times, but if it was unsuccessful the LED will flash 18 times

for a green LED, if the programming was successful the LED will flash 8 times (i think, maybe less), but if it was unsuccessful the LED will stay on for a few seconds (8 i think?)

iv attached a pic the 2 small holes is the one on the left the LED and the one on the right a set up button

also is there no alarm on this model?

Hello,

I have a similar alarm from Alfa 145 and I just read the eeprom 93c46B.

The file is very similar and I'd like to have the REM.EXE to calculate the PIN code, if possible.

On 72h and 73h I have AA AA, which is weird because it should be the lock/unlock code of the key that locked the unit. In your example it shows 75 70 which is the PIN backwards?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

sorry buddy, no-one has the right experience to offer any further advice at the moment, the two contributers to this thread were last active here in 2014, so they have not been around for a while, it seems safe to say they won't be coming back anytime soon.
best of luck.
