Heated wing mirrors??
Heated seats??
Aircon?
Sorry

I have a wonderful W reg 155hgt, lowest mileage, mint. and ive just found the heated seats button under the seat, big woop, light comes on, no heat, no arse warmth, any ideas;

Also says in the manual, HEATED WING MIRRORS, apparently this is common. Is there a button for this, i haven't found one, its hard to tell.

My aircon wheezes at me the same temperature it is outside? do you reckon this is the "regassing" or a blown/ new fuse somewhere?? the star button/defrost/ compressor on/ just pumps air faster

***Don't know on your car but on my Ford and her VW they come on with the screen heaters.****

****Down to the dealer for a re-gas / filter change if its not been done in years****

Definatly come on with the rear screen. Not really noticable though unless the mirror is steamed up.

Hi Tux.
1. Does the red light come on on the side of the seats when button is pressed most probably will as the problem will be with the heater pads would of burnt out at some point. I stripped my leather back and found it had shorted on 1 of the metal rods that go through the seat just soldered abit of new wire and works perfect.

2. The heated mirrors stays on at all times as mine does.
3. It does sound like your aircon needs regassing mine was weezing when i got it had it done and all good after that.

If it's a MK2 with auto climate control (rotary temperature selector in degrees), do the following to make sure the a/c system is working before you waste your money on a re-gas:

Set temp to “Hi”, position to “Max Def” and speed to “0”. Switch ignition to “Mar” and within 10 seconds, switch fan speed from 0 to Auto to 0 to Auto and back to 0 again. Within a few seconds, “Error Cli” will show in the speedo readout. If everything is fine, it will display “00”. If it shows any other code, there’s a list of what they mean in the Service Manual. If code “00” is display and the air con compressor clutch is not engaging, it’s probably down to the pressure switch reporting low pressure in the system.

Thanks, sneaky aircon secret. it displayed 00.

The aircon 'thinks' its working, just not blowing cold at me. What do you recommend? Quickfit?

Ive tried the heated seats but it makes no difference, guess their not working/fuse bad? makes me feel like I p15*ed myself anyway.

But i get a heated seat LED so bonus

hi guys. Does any1 know why my outside temp reading is faulty. Sometimes it reads right, other times it reads something ridiculous like minus40 and other times it say err Cli or something along those lines. Is there anything I can do to sort the problem, as when it reads "err" the climate control doesn't work.:bang:

Cheers in advance

Thanks guys for the info,

I dont trust quickfit enough to do the regassing aircon, they will find a way to mess it up,think thats the last problem tho.

Sorry i haven't been around for a bit, been building SKY Arabia in Abu Dhabi.

This is a great piece of advice, been wondering about what maintenance my air con system needs. Will try this out in the morning, thanks!
