Evening all,

Going to look at a bravo and a brava later for a mate. What common issues do I need to be on the lookout for?
He's looking to spend a grand approx.

Any help very much appriciated.

If its a 1.6 check the resistance of the injectors using a multimeter as these engines are prone to injector failure. Also see if theres any warning lights on the dash, airbag/engine management.Other than that just check for everything that u would on any car, bodywork, sunroof seal, wheels etc.

looked at a 1.2 tonight. Couple of concerns... on start up the revs seem to drop really low before settling, and also on hard revs there is a funny sound from the off-side under the bonnet. Any clues? Also the clutch was very heavy and the accelerator quite stiff.

Shall we give this one a miss?

Dont rule it out just because of that, ive generally found that bravo/a's have quite heavy clutches compared to other cars. Not sure about the accelerator though, cant see why that would be stiff... although funny sounds from under the bonnet arent a good sign!
