Hi newbie to the site, my question is, does anyone know if my Fiat Bravo Xreg 1.2 SX 80 16v is compatible with an OBD 11 reader. Having looked at code readers they all seem to be 16 pin. I have found the plug where it goes into, located under the bonnet near the fuse box, if so the one on my car is a slim long box with 5 pins. Be very grateful if anyone could help. Thank you.

you don't say the age, although IIRC 80sx was from 99 on and this is after cars should have been OBD compliant. I believe that the plug is with the fusebox inside the car.

Hi thanks for your help, its 2000 , found socket but its only 4 pin, and code readers seem to be 16 pin

hi thankyou for your replies. problem im having
, car wont tick over, car cuts out at junctions.replaced landa sender, new throttle sensor ,plugs and injectors 8 months ago. bought an obd11 card reader to help with the problem but cannot find a 16 pin plug round the fuse box or under the bonnet. anyone throw any light on this problem. thank you.

:)Hi thanks ARC and every one. Idle control valve had come lose thanks. But why doesn’t an obd reader work? Found the 3 pin plug :):)

Hi, if your car is fitted with the obd plug, it should be down near the bonnet release catch below the steering wheel, just behind the felt covered board. Mine (same car) has a black plastic cap on it, which flips off so you can plug in your scanner.
Just run your fingers along from the bonnet release catch, and you should find it OK.
