looking for someone who vinyl wraps in Swindon/Wiltshire or surrounding area, mustn't charge stupid money, (one in Swindon wanted £120 for doing the door pillars on a 3dr grande punto!:bang:!) Any advise is welcome, :)

Cheers

Dave

120 doesnt seem bad. They need to remove the bumbly vinyl first, then clean it of all residue then there is the fact that area gets a lot of abuse so the chances of you returning it on the guarantee are quite high.
The vinyling business is quite expensive if its a proper place that know what they are doing.
So many cowboys will do you a **** job for £60 using cheap vinyls that wont last and have no guarantee.

Dave, why dont you just do it yourself? I need to do mine aswell, im over in gloucestershire.. Just wondering where to order the vinyl from before i start :D

Vinyl or plasti-dip ?

Vinyls come in a bigger range of colours, harder to apply, not as easy to remove

Which has the longevity ?

If plasti-dip is damaged, will respraying the area look tidy?

Saw a Bentley the other day & the whole car had been given a carbon wrap - looked like it had been nicked from the factory before being painted IMO.

Saw a range rover which had the fancy vinyl - I don't know, it just didn't look quite right somehow.
I suppose it's something that might grow on you?
But definitely considering something as a cheapo way to cover stonechips and other blemishes to the bonnet.
(also, the paint is grey (looks silver) so do I go for silver or black to cover it?)
