I'm getting quite a lot of people complaining that they cannot hear me.
I heard that there was some sort of fault with the mic.
I have a 1 week old 1.2 500. I have to start shouting at the dash while driving along, so I look like a complete idiot.

Anyone got any ideas?

It's a common problem. Had it replaced for free (in the Netherlands)

So its still a common problem with the new 500's?
I just didn't want to take it back over nothing.

Its fine at lower speeds, but when on the motorway its impossible.
Sometimes on lower speeds they still cannot hear me.

Yes a common problem. There was a lot to do about in on Dutch and German forums.

Mine works on and off ..... no rhyme nor reason to it!

No not yet.
I keep meaning to but it only happens now and then, and I dont know if I can proove it or anything.

I'll give my dealer a call today on my way home while driving and hope he cant hear me.

Mine is still working on and off ... took it back to the dealer last autumn and they said it worked perfectly! I do get complaints, when it's working, that there is an echo to my voice afterwards unless i have it turned down to really low volume (but then i can't hear anyone!)

I have the Echo issue aswell.

But I get alot of people just unable to hear me at all.
Even the dealer team who I called last night.

They said to call back and book it in with the service team.
