I am considering buying a Barchetta, I haven't driven one yet, but can anyone tell if they scuttle shake/Flex. My dads Alfa Spider suffered a bit from this.

Hi. I test drove a '55 Reg Alfa Spider (2.2 JTS) and found it suffered from more scuttle and shake than the Barchetta. In my opinion, the Barchetta (I have a '53 Reg) has a better balance between engine, chassis and transmission then the Spider. I would certainly suggest a test drive. The two cars have a very different feel - I didn't enjoy the drive as much in the Spider even if I appreciated it for the more upmarket feel. The Barchetta, although not very fast is great for throwing into corners!

I always wanted an Alfa Spider - test drove a GTV first (Y plate) at a main dealer and was so disappointed that it put me off.

So pleased I then bought a B (03) - unique and easily enhanced - see comments re strut brace.

I am told that with the hard top on then it adds even moren strength. But who wants to do this when the sun is out??? :slayer:
