My Barchetta 1998 has been working fine. Then while driving yesterday three dashboard items failed at the same time. These are Odometer, Rev Counter, Clock Display - all now showing zero. My guess is this is an electrical problem. I have checked all fuses - no fails - and right now am trying to inspect the rear connectors to the dashboard. I wanted to use the car for an Owners' Club meet tomorrow. Any suggestions please? And thanks in advance. Would it help to reset i.e. disconnect the battery and reconnect? Is this straightforward (no Codes, etc)?

The soldered connections on the back of these go dry and the instruments stop working .

I don't think it's common for multiple failures all at the same time but maybe a main connection has gone bad .

If you need a new set of instruments . I'm your man , if you don't mind 134988 miles on the clock ,from a 1997 car .

Thank you Barchetta Bloke for your help. I managed to find the source of this problem in parallel with you writing. I separated all three multi-connectors behind the dash panel, reinserted them, and all worked again. As you say must be at least one dry contact now cleaned. The wiring diagram does show a connection between the three - odometer, rev counter and clock! My friend suggests that wiring looms grow over time and bits are added, rather than a major redesign! Thanks again.
