Hi all

Completely new here and new to fiat.
I bought a barchetta with the cambelt snapped so have fitted a new timing belt water pump tensioner and idler. Turned by hand felt ok started it up briefly and sounded ok but is misfiring so think a couple of valves might be bent.

I can get the head off and get the car back running but I really don’t want to bother with the hassle as I’m startig a new job in a couple of weeks.

Would anybody be interested in any parts of the complete car??

I will post some pictures tomorrrow. It’s not in bad condition but bubbling on the rear arches and a few scrapes.

It will probably be the cheapest barchetta going if anybody is interested.

Hi both. I may sell parts but to be honest it can be really cheap for someone so don’t see the point in breaking it but I will if that’s what people want. I have just taken some photos aswell.

I do really like the car. I can take the head off and investigate further and I sell parts for a living which leads me to loads of people who can do he work very cheaply but I’m starting a new job it’s hot as hell to be working on a car so I’ve started working on my bike.

So you can see the rust coming through on the rear arches and the scrape on the passenger side door. Bit of laquer peel here and there mainly the door mirrors and the fuel cap.

I’m in Birmingham and more than happy for someone to come and look at the car no problems.
£600 more than reasonable I feel with the logbook owners manuals and a bucket load of receipts.

Thank you

Any bits you do not see in the engine bay are in the boot. Don’t see the point in putting them on to be taken off again.
It has been started up by myself only since the cambelt had been snapped by someone else. It turned freely by hand once the belt was reinstalled so I turned it over with no noise just a misfire but didn’t idle.
I’m by no means a mechanic but in the same breath I’m not stupid enough to sit there trying to turn it over and cause unnecessary damage.

I have a mint original radio which I would swap for the windshield wiper mechanism if it is in good condition I don't need the motor.

Hi,

If your car is UK spec, I would gladly buy both headlights from you? Maybe even the tail lights (I need to check if I need them to register my EU spec car into UK).

Thanks for letting me know.
