Hi Paulr999,
If you don’t have a CoC, you can obtain one frm FIAT At a cost, search this forum, I have written on the subject pf registering my Barchetta in France.

Hi Steve,
I'm trying to get the car insured in France - so far the quotes are about €85 a month - is this about right ?
Cheers, Paul

ouch, that's $1500.a year CDN. I,pay $300.I knew it was reasonable but really! its a summer toy and only does 10k per season but I guess if its your main ride than that's a little different.

Hi paulr999,
I pay 420euro per year all risks but limited to 5000km per year. This is with Matmut. I have 65% coefficient which makes adifference. Insurance will accept UK certificate of’noaccidents’ in the last million years etc. This usually is in the form of a letter from your last insurer.
The insurer MACIF gave me the best value with my motorbike.

Back to the original thread. I spotted a metallic blue Barchetta in Eastrea near Whittlesey. Does it belong to someone on this forum?

I spotted one too - first one I've seen on the road in ages - but sadly no pic!

This morning, on Newmarket Road in Cambridge, a lovely silver B just like mine* (silver with red leather interior - another LE, I guess). Does it belong to anyone on here, I wonder?

* apart from the fact that mine's not turned a wheel so far this summer :(

First day of vacation I spotted 2 within 2 hours.

First probably going to the ferry between Puttgarden (Germany) and Rödby (Denmark) yellow car and second close to Kiel

Not been on the forum for a long time but my Barchetta is still alive and reasonably well in Newton-le-Willows Merseyside. Not seen another one around here for a few years. I've had to spend a bit to keep it going last year including a new wiper mechanism and some welding underneath. After years of train commuting I'm now using it daily to drive to work. Just had the cambelt changed and the engine is still running sweetly after 19 years and 81k miles of ownership. I've contemplated having to let it go due to the fact it is now rusting but I think I'm now going to get it sorted, resprayed, rust proofed and a new roof as my three year old son is in love with it and reminds me daily what a great car it is. Glad to hear that there are still plenty of b's going although parts are getting harder to come by now. Just passed the mot without any advisories so hopefully I can keep it going.

Now that's great parenting! (y)

I think my daughter would disown me if I sold the B. She likes it so much that I'm looking around for another one for her!

(She's also 3...... + 24!!)
