Pleased to say that the guides have arrived, had them since last Thursday but have been away again for the weekend, So now have the awkward task of receiving payment and posting the guides to you all. Payment method I'm not to bothered with cheque or pay pal is OK I will send you PMs with my details.

Thanks for the feedback, I was a little concerned if the guides were a good replacement item, Haven't had time to fit mine as yet, had a weekend break last week and work is busy at the moment.

Postage to you was quick posted at 5pm Monday and on your car Tuesday, unfortunately i haven't posted to any of the other buyers I,m getting home from work to late to get to the post office. will try to get them posted Wednesday evening.

Does anyone want a how-to for fitting these? Got mine on, took photos, they work well.

They're not straightforward to do!!

Could be a real good idea HP.... I've never done the job before any info greatly appreciated (y)

For anything you do the first time I've always been told to remember.... RTFM !!! "read the f****** manual"!! err, alowed to say this??

If not I'm sure karen will be along soon to delete it :D

YES!!- - all help/instructions gratefully recieved...

I think with the aid of Google Translate that's better than a guide written by me.

There's a few things to watch for. The tension seems much higher than standard with the new blocks, the auto tensioning adjuster (white item attached to the motor) ended up fully compressed on both my windows even after moving the adjustable cable positioners to the minimum tension setting.

Also when you release the tension on the wire, it can unravel itself on the drum inside the motor housing. This is worth checking before fitting back on the car.
To do this you have to remove the three 10mm nuts and bolts securing the motor to the mechanism, undo the two small screws on the drum cover and lift it off.

You must use countersunk screws to attach the new blocks, pan head ones will catch the glass when you refit it. They also must not protrude through the block on the other side.
I personally used 5/8" no8 doublegrip screws rather than the bolts in the guide.
You do need to countersink the holes in the new blocks as the metal plate has indents where the rivet heads sit. I used a 10mm drill bit by hand.

Worth looking at this thread too:
https://www.fiatforum.com/barchetta/226945-barchetta-window-adjustment.html
as you'll need to adjust everything again once refitted.

Hi All, I have posted the guides to all that have sent funds, let me know when you receive them for my peace of mind, also any tips on fitting. I am quite busy over the next few week so won't get a chance to fit mine

Also Thanks to you for paying prompt,:) and being patient while I post them out to you all.

I have two sets unpaid for as yet please get in touch with myself stating your intention to buy or not. So that I can offer them on.

Regards Dave M
