Went to Black & White Garage near Newbury, Berkshire yesterday to look at a couple of cars they are selling. They are Alfa & Fiat specialists and it's just an amazing place.
The place is nothing like your normal car showroom but an oldish set of buildings just stuffed with interesting vehicles. The guys there are petrol heads of the best type and are genuinely enthusiastic about their cars and extremely friendly and helpful. Have a look at their own collection of cars that are not for sale in the section BWG Collection on their web site: www.AlfaGarage.co.uk and you will see what I mean. And no, I do not work for them or have any connection, it's just nice to come across a place run by genuine car fans rather than a bunch of sales people in slick suits. :)

I have bumped into these chaps at a couple of Italian car meets, they are a bit of a local legend and apparently have a very interesting array of 'personal' cars in their collection.

They have a very good reputation for both sales and service and as you say are a real group of petrolheads!

So, big question - are you going to buy anything from them??

If the guy who says he will buy my car comes up with the goods may well go for a red Alfa GT, a little tight in the footwell for my big feet so not exactly sure. Plus dear wife insists that after a week I will regret selling my present car and then go and waste a load more dosh on buying something else. She is probably right but then I will never grow up!

CORRECT ATTITUDE.
Everybody I know who has tried this growing up business has come to grief!

My B came via these guys and you're absolutely right about their passion for a good motor. Place was stuffed to the gills with Maseratis when I was up there :yum:

Hi Richpea and guys.
I know Darren,James and Alan from Black And White very well these guys are to of the ladder in what they do,they are proper motor traders, what I call proper people. If I ever have to recommend a garage to buy an Alfa Romeo from these guys are top of my list every time.
You can drop my name into the conversation if you wish. That is my proper name if you can remember it .If not you can pm me for a reminder.
Good luck.

Hi Harry, I have forwarded this on to Alan, I think he will very much appreciate it. If I do get to buy an Alfa they are the guys I will use. They are a good bunch and very lucky to have such an interesting place to work from.
