I'm still trying to track down an elusive problem/annoyance on my Barchetta, can I get a few replies for how long does your injector light stay on for when you turn on the key, how many seconds before it's ready to start?

I have never actually timed but somewhere between 8-10 seconds I guess.................I never start it until they have gone out.

What is the annoying problem you are trying to track down?

Oh well I'm happy now, mine only stay on for 3 seconds. My problem is the car runs perfectly and can start on the turn of the key, but sometimes according to the local Fiat garage it does not receive the code to start so it won't, then I have to turn off ignition and start again and then it will start perfectly again, sometimes it takes 3 goes to get a good start. I know it's a minor problem compared to a lot of the faults on here, but I've tried everything I can think of and it's frustrating. The code light always comes on and goes off as it should.

Does anyone know what the injector light is actually measuring? Mine occasionally comes on after starting, although not for some time.

In general it's about 10 seconds before it goes off.

Timed mine today and it takes approx 3 seconds

It can come on if the engine gets real hot so it's one to keep an eye on while being stuck in traffic in the summer,well I say summer more like the three sunny days we get around July ish time any how.
