hope some looks at this i took delivery of jamies y10 turbo the other and iv had nothin but trouble with it can any one verify that the carb needed work and if there was anythin else wrong with it any help would be good

Can't tell you for sure on anything, but i'm pretty sure he told me the carbs needed setting up.. Been telling him for ages to do something with that car!!! Hope you get it sorted out mate, would be ace to see it up and runninig after all this time sat there waiting for someone to take some time to fix it up. Outta interest, what sort of nick is it in? i only ever seen it hidden away at back of garage/shed thing it was in at Lacock..

Well it certainly looks alot better now its not covered in dust.. still can't believe you've sold it but as you said many times it would be better used by someone else and who better than a enthusiast!!

Coming down south at some point soon, might have to pop see your new house, and you can laugh at my new banger..

Had a Y10 Turbo in '86. Talk about all or nothing. Put your foot down and wait; light a fag; find a tape; take tape out of box; insert tape in player and.....Holy S**t. However, if you had enough revs up, it would off like the original scalded cat. Used to upset XR3i drivers on a regular basis. Once held off an Alfa 2.5 GTV6 up to 100 on the M62 until I had to pretend I'd lost interest. Ego, doncha know.
Never wanted to let that car go.....until, they offered me a Delta 1.6 HFie.

she is looking well after a good wash its just got fueling issue after replaceing the starter motor ,plugs,leads,dizzy,rota and a good oil change.

thats eriously nice that is, makes me wish i'd taken up jamies offer for it ages ago, still, i'll make do with the cinq turbo instead lol but its not as cool as that thing!!!
