But the starting problem??? Not sure I would take the risk, unless I saw car with Mechanic.

Plus the car has had 5 owners, thats one a year???

I was thinking the same !

car turning over and not starting could be ecu probelm at the worse

just have to make sure when you buy a 1247cc you get the ecu as well

Going to have alook at this tomorrow as he is local to me. Any other faults to look out for on the sporting other than the head gasket problems?

5 owners in 6/7years is a lot, and the mileage is very low...almost too low; creating extra owners is a car dealer trick when clocking a motor; if the history is 'independant' I'd be very wary.

I'd be very carefull - it's worth checking with FIAT as to what FIAT service history it has and any warranty work - incase it's a bit of a lemon / friday afternoon car.
