Panda (Classic) My Selecta

All the best with this Adam :)

Your description is so good I'm posting it here for eternity :D

I bought this car in October as my other Panda was sick and needed medical attention.
When I went to pick this car up, I was then told the heater didn't work. The 140 mile drive home starting at 9PM wasn't fun.

Bad points:
The heater still doesn't blow hot. It's had a new thermostat and heater tap.
It's got a Clifford alarm box, which does nothing.
Someones fitted aftermarket electric windows, which do nothing.
No parcel shelf and the sunroof has been replaced with a piece of plastic and somehow does not leak. If this were Top Gear they would call this a Superleggera.
If you fill the petrol tank to full, the car becomes bulemic. Something to do with being a Superleggera I think, petrol = weight = bad.
The radio only picks up stations when it wants to.
Front washer jet replaced with a random pipe.
Bonnet has a massive dent, looks like someone recreated Grand Theft Auto.... or, someone just sat on it. Was there when I got it.
Bodywork has dings and scrathes.
Someone broke into it the other night, they bent the door back. The steering lock and ignition are untouched, they did not get into the car. Probably too stupid to realise how Panda doors work. It's been bent back and the paint has come off.
O/S Headlight cracked & O/S rear light cracked neither effect MOT.
It's 18 years old, so has various dings and scratches.

Good points:
It's a Panda.
Doors are pretty solid unlike most Pandas.
Selectas are faster than manual Pandas.
Doesn't appear to have been welded, underneath is solid.
It has a circa '90's Goodmans casette radio, with a 3.5 mm input for ipod/mp3/smartphone music playback. (A Ferrari F40 doesn't have this option, unless someone installed a radio.)
It has a set of brand new 'super deluxe car mats' with a £19.99 RRP.
Comes with a stack of history, had a new timing belt 10,00 miles ago. Had a new head gasket 20,000 miles ago.
Save money on LSD, just look at that interior.
Tax until 31st May.
Mot 26th November.

This is not a Concours car, but find me another Selecta for sale, is it a 1995? Does it have roof bars? Does the heater blow hot? If yes to all of these questions, then you are the Indiana Jones of finding cars.

::ROFLMAO::

I hate terrible ebay listings, hopefully people feel sorry for it. :D

Btw your guaranteed £250 (y)

You'd better get more though, as if not I'm getting a bargain and the mother will be making me homeless!

Wow, someone who shall remain nameless is the current highest bidder. (y)

If you two wanna continue the bidding war, thats fine by me. :p
John you have driven this car, it was faster than the Fizz. (y)

I'm out at £249.99 :(

It definitely was an interesting ride, foot to the floor and WHOOOOSH:D

Trying to keep up with it is what killed the exhaust

This is a historic vehicle, one of only two at the inaugural and some say legendary Panday.

Such provenance is bound to spark a bidding frenzy :slayer:

I'd amend your listing ASAP ;)

What is up with that sunroof! and WTF is FAP? :p

IIRC the sunroof is boarded over with white hardboard

If you really want to know what FAP is urban dictionary will inform you, there are several definitions all equally distasteful. Don't forget to clean your browsing history afterward, the stain on soul however lasts forever, (unless like me you forget after 6 months). :yuck:

Vendors details have changed from chrysler-adam to pandy_dandy.

Years ago, I was creating a yahoo or hotmail account or something equally crummy. It wouldn't let me have AstonAdam, but it said "suggestions." One of them was Chrysler Adam, which made me laugh, no-one would want that name...

Final Gearers said I didn't deserve the Aston name, so one of them suggested Pandy Dandy. (y)

.........

Recieved a few messages on ebay. One from a Pandarer. I only know because of you're unique purchase history. :D

Another random:
"Mate...... best write up for a motor ever, top marx."

:p
