Technical Seat belt warning light

Hey, I've just bought an 09 500 abarth and every time I take it for a drive the seat belt light comes on and that annoying buzzer starts. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi Dave, can you do something to check whether it is the driver's seat belt that is causing the trouble, such as also put the passenger seat belt into it's holder. Sometimes, especially if you have placed an object on the passenger seat, the car assumes there is a passenger, hence the warning.

Try that and post back.

its all to do withEURO NCAP star ratings they get more points for buzzers and warning light

you can switch it off (well i can)

Should be able to get the buzzer switched off but the light will still be there.

I find putting my belt on stops it though

I can tell the ECU not to switch the buzzer or the light or switch both off its only a 5 mins job

o and i can switch them back on before anyone says bust the bulb and smash the buzzer

That a software instigated change or wiring on the belt reciever
