This morning the linkage on the air direction control knob on my 500L apparently became disconnected- it turns (very loosely) but the air direction does not change.

Has anyone removed this to reconnect the control and what is the procedure? Anyone had it removed by a garage and if so, approximate cost? I’m hoping I don’t have to have the whole control panel replaced or the whole dash taken apart. The whole area is covered by plastic panels so I think the actual control piece might prise off to gain access but I don’t want to delve into it in case I cock it up.

Any info appreciated.
