Before I change my running light bulb is there any reason why it still lights up when headlights on full although dim! But not when running lights turned on? The passenger side is fine but drivers not? Could it be a loose connection? But like I say it lights up dim so surly the bulb not blown?

The DRL bulb has two filaments; one is 21W for the DRL the other 5W for the parking/sidelight. When the headlights are on the 21W is switched off and the 5W switched on. If the passenger side is not lighting up when the headlights are on it might mean the 5W on that side is blown perhaps?

Also, the bulbs are just a press fit. Might be worth giving them a wiggle to see if it's just a case of the bulbs having moved a little, losing the contact.

halfords fit them for a fiver ;) i am a tech and my wife waited for me so long to do ours.....the guy did the bulb change but said they are one of the hardest they do! :)

I asked that today and the guy said the front bumper needs to come off to do it!? But I watched a vid on YouTube of a lady doing it herself? It’s just behind the wheel isn’t it? I’ve changed the other bulb below it before it’s hard but not impossible

That Halfords for you. ??? they are a pain and most people find it easier to Jack it up and take the wheel off. They are very fiddly. The larger round bulbs are the worst (the one with the double filament) I always use a pair of long nose pliers to get it in and out, I can’t do it with my fingers.

Yup that’s the bulb I have to change ? I’m sure I can do it I got piano fingers [emoji23]

If you remove the wheel and the wheel arch liner, you will have loads of access and only takes 10 minutes..

Using a open ended spanner can help to turn the holder? And I cable tied the square cover in place that's in the inner wing guard having lost 3 of them(just need to drill some holes)

Did it today my little fingers got in there ok!! Can’t believe Halfords said bumper needed to come off[emoji23] my arse!!
