Hiiii

Not too sure if this is being posted in the correct place, if it's not then I apologise. I have had my car just under a year and in the past month I have taken it to the garage twice in the past month for 2 holes in my engine in the mid to end section. Now I am taking it to the fiat garage this week where I expect them to fix it as it hasn't been damaged in anyway.

My main question is has anyone else had this problem?!

Hello and welcome

I assume you're talking about blowing from the exhaust.

Do bear in mind that there a couple of small holes in the exhaust by design; they are there to allow accumulated water to drain out of the system. You'll often find some sooty deposits aound these holes. This has fooled a few folks into thinking they have a problem when they haven't.

There's a picture of the drain hole in the backbox here.

But on a 12 month old car, if there's something you're concerned about, take it back to the dealer - it's what they, and the warranty, are for.

Hi a welcome, any chance of a picture? as it will be under warranty take it straight to the Fiat dealer.

Hi sorry I haven't unfortunately, thanks for the reply! did forget to add that I had it "patched" say 2/3 weeks ago prior to this and they've put two clamps on it, so I took it back there to just replace this section as I know patching is a temporary fix but it's just sounding like a baby tractor at the mo. Earliest I can get booked in at fiat is next weekend so hopefully should all be resolved and replaced and working as it should be.

I was just curious to see whether this was a common fault with the 500s of I am just a bit unlucky :)
